| Attacking midfielder Ryan McGregor joined Pollok in July 2009 after an impressive season for Vale of Clyde. He began his career with Clyde as a schoolboy before switching to Hamilton Academical's youth set-up, both youth teams being coached by his father Gerry. Ryan got his first taste of the Juniors when loaned to Kilwinning Rangers in the 2005-06 season before being transferred to Bellshill Athletic. The following year 'Hill let him link up with his father Gerry, by then Vale boss. Ryan remained with the Tin Pail for a further two full seasons, though suffered a serious kidney injury playing for Vale against Auchinleck last season but was back playing within a few months. | |
